Welcome, I'm glad you're here!
I have been practicing for over 20 years providing trauma-informed support to children and families as a community-based social worker, an elementary school counselor, and in private practice settings.
I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, behavior issues, anger management, school challenges including avoidance, and more. I focus on emotional literacy and regulation, mindfulness, and building self-esteem while giving clients a toolbox full of skills they can use for the rest of their life throughout inevitable ups and downs.
I primarily work with children, adolescents, and young adults, and people seeking support with neurodiversity, ADHD, LGBTQIA+, learning difficulties, school struggles, and family issues, such as parent-child relationships and sibling rivalry.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, play therapy, and Mindfulness-based therapy.
In my free time I love to garden inside and out, spend time with my teenagers and pets and enjoy the sunshine any way possible. I look forward to providing therapy with an "out-of-the box" lens from a compassionate, strengths-based, relationship-first approach to help people achieve their goals or to simply give a safe space to talk.
